Albert H. Bax, age 87, of St. Elizabeth, died Monday, July 24, 2006, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born in St. Elizabeth on November 24, 1918, a son of the late Joseph and Agatha (Twehus) Bax.
Albert served his country in World War II and owned and operated the Albert H. Trucking Company from 1964-1999. He was a member of the American Legion and St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Those who survive him include: three brothers, Norbert Bax and wife Martha of St. Elizabeth, Edward Bax and wife Joann of O'Fallon and Arlie Bax and wife Jane of St. Elizabeth; one sister, Mary Ann Bax and husband Jerome of St. Louis, 16 nieces, 11 nephews, 11 great nieces, 15 great nephews, 1 great-great niece, 5 great-great nephews and many other family and friends.
Two brothers, William and Theodore Bax, also preceded him in death.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth. Rev. Francis Stuart, OSB will officiate. Interment with military honors will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the St. Elizabeth Community Center with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.
