Marie Giboney, age 65 of Russellville, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at Eldon Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Enon on September 14, 1940, a daughter of the late Henry R. and Elvia A. (Campbell) Shoemaker. On September 15, 1967, in New Bloomfield, she was married to Jerry L. Giboney, who survives at the home.
She was a homemaker and member of Enon Baptist Church.
Others who survive her include: one daughter; Anita Sadler and husband Tom of Eldon; one granddaughter, Stacey Reed of Eldon; one sister, Maxine Boatcher of Eldon; two brothers, Donald Shoemaker of Russellville and Ralph Shoemaker of High Point; two nieces, Linda Lawson and Marla Schaefer and three nephews, Larry, Wayne and Mike Shoemaker.
One sister, Lois Campbell and two brothers, Everett and Dwayne Shoemaker, also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 22, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon with services immediately following at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Jasper Hunter will officiate. Interment will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens near Barnett.
Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society.
