Alice Marie (Dake) Humphrey, age 81, of Eldon, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.  She was born outside of Iberia on September 8, 1941, daughter of the late Myrel (Jack) and Jewell (Sloan) Dake.  On May 23, 1959, Alice was united in marriage to Leland Elmer Humphrey, who survives at the home.

As a woman of deep love and faith for God, she was a devoted member of Tuscumbia First Assembly of God Church.  She took pleasure tending to her flowers and caring for her home and family.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, who were the greatest joy of her life.

In addition to her loving husband of nearly 64 years, Leland Humphrey, she is also survived by four daughters, Janet (Rex) Hibler, Patty (Greg) Baquet, Tammy (Roger) Kirkweg, and Vicky Burks; one son, Brent (Meg) Humphrey; 14 grandchildren, Austin Hibler, Taylor Hibler, Grant Baquet, Zachary Baquet, Brock Baquet, Sara Beth Kirkweg, Adrain Kirkweg, Katie Imler, Jacob Kirkweg, Natasha Schulte, Derek Burks, Dylan Humphrey, Presley Humphrey, and Harper Humphrey; 20 great-grandchildren with two on the way; sister, Wanda Copeland; brother, Jackie (Judy) Dake; sister-in-law, Annette Dake; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Jewell Dake; sister, Lois Copeland; brother, Bobbie Dake; infant brother, Lawrence; son-in-law, John Burks; grandson, Jeremiah Baquet; and three brothers-in-law, Muriel Copeland, Burl Copeland, and Dean McKee.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 14, at Dake Cemetery near Iberia with Tim Drake officiating.
