Alice Faye Rook, age 70, of Kaiser formerly of Iberia, died Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at Lake Regional Hospital. She was born in Stoutsville on August 12, 1936, daughter of Harold and Ruth Pearl (Greenup) Gatson. On August 23, 1964, in Mexico, she was married to Carl A. Rook, who survives at the home.
She was a past member of the Iberia City Council.
Other survivors include: two sons, Donald Wyatt and wife, Kathy of Independence, and James Wyatt of Osage Beach; three daughters, Debbie Griffiths of Stockton, Eva Shields and husband, Delano of Glasgow, and Donna Workman and husband, David of Iberia; one brother, James Gatson of Moberly; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Her parents and a brother, Russel Greenup, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Charles Cross will officiate. Interment will be in Hawkins Cemetery near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alice Rook Memorial Fund.
