Alice Wyrick, age 79, of Jefferson City, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Iberia on April 19, 1932, daughter of the late Guy and Betsy (Duncan) Wall. On October 6, 1950, in Wyandotte County, Kansas, Alice married Donald Wayne Wyrick, who preceded her in death on February 4, 2004.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren's ballgames. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. Alice was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Jefferson City.

She is survived by eight children, Jim Wyrick and wife Dana of Osage Beach, June Isenberg and husband Jim of Jefferson City, Carol Wyrick and husband Waldo Rowles of Boonville, Mary Loesch and husband David of Lee Summit, Mike Wyrick and wife Angela of Jefferson City, Patti Bowers of Jefferson City, Sherri Schanzmeyer of Jefferson City, and Nancy Abernathy and husband Matthew of California; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Estal Wall of Iberia and Gene Wall of Springfield, Tennessee; two sisters, Wilma Lee Goodson of Edgar Springs and Eileen Collins of Wentzville; and one brother-in-law, Kenneth Wyrick and wife Sue of Tuscumbia.

She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jonathon Meyer; four brothers, Noble Wall, Vestal Wall, Spurgeon Wall, and Roy Wall; and three sisters, Dorcas Keeth, Ruth Lashley, and Pauline Noble.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Lewis Curtis will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Tuscumbia.
