Amber Dawn (Heckethorn) Guevara, age 40, of Brumley, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at her home.  She was born at Lake Regional Hospital on June 7, 1982, daughter of Wesley Heckethorn and Sherry (Duncan) McComb. On November 8, 2015, Amber was united in marriage to Jason Guevara, who survives at their home.

Amber was a 2001 graduate of Iberia R-V.  She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and was a major supporter of small businesses.  Spending time with her close-knit family was the greatest joy of her life.  She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and caring aunt to her nieces and nephews, who she cherished.

In addition to her husband, Jason Guevara, she is also survived by her children, Liliana and Mando; parents, Carl and Sherry McComb; two brothers, David (Julie) Heckethorn and Carl D. (April) McComb; sister, Alicia (Brandon) Kissinger; nieces and nephews, Isaac, Rylee, Aspen, Ava, Dawson, and Allee; grandparents, Layman and Sarah Duncan; and numerous family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Heckethorn; grandparents, Virginia Woods, Porter Heckethorn, and Mildred and Charlie McComb; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, July 5, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.

Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home with Brandon Kissinger and Dennis Nichols officiating.  Interment will be held at Mt. Union Cemetery in Brumley.
