Anna Lorene Fancher-Lupardus, age 90, of Iberia, passed away Friday, June 12, 2009, at Lake Regional Hospital. She was born on April 4, 1919, daughter of the late Albert and Effie (Barnhart) Keeth. On May 12, 1939, in St. Louis, she married Jack Fancher, who preceded her in death on November 18, 1985. On June 29, 1994, in Ulman, she married Ted Lupardus, who preceded her in death on January 22, 1996.
Lorene was a member of the Iberia Garden Club, the Nimble Thimble Quilt Guild, and the Iberia Eastern Star. Lorene was also a member of Iberia First Christian Church.
She is survived by two sons, Terry Fancher and wife Peggy and Jackie Fancher both of Iberia; one daughter Peggy Thompson and husband Tom of Rogersville; five grandchildren, Cory Fancher, Tara Luttrell, Luke Fancher, John Fancher, and Andrew Fancher all of Iberia; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2009, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Stan Way will officiate. Interment will be in Livingston Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, at the funeral home.
