Anna Cecilia Kliethermes, age 97, of St. Anthony, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Care Center. She was born in Okeene, Oklahoma, on March 20, 1909, a daughter of William and Catherine (Ewers) Boeckman. On January 27, 1932, in Okeene, Oklahoma, she was married to Raymond William Kliethermes, who preceded her in death on February 19, 1997.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church where she sang in the church choir for many years. She was a member of the St. Anthony Altar Sodality and the St. Anthony Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include six sons, Al W. Kliethermes and wife, Donna of Eldon, Raymond Kliethermes, Jr. and wife, Betty of Mary's Home, James N. Kliethermes and wife, Wilma of Eugene, Edward Kliethermes and wife, Janice of Mary's Home, Paul Kliethermes and wife, Catherine of St. Anthony, and Jerome Kliethermes and wife, Carolyn of Eldon; 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and 10 step great-grandchildren.
Her parents; two sons, Matthais and William Kliethermes; three sisters, her twin sister, Mary Boeckman, and Martha Brenneke and Clara Pekarek; three brothers, Lawrence, Anthony, and Al Boeckman; one grandchild and one great-grandchild, also preceded her in death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony. Rev. Francis Stuart, OSB, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the St. Anthony Parish Hall in St. Anthony with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m.
