Anna Lee (Witherell) Orr, age 81, of Eldon, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at her home. She was born in Gravois Mills on March 19, 1927, a daughter of the late Charles and Ida (James) Witherell. On June 12, 1984, in Bakersfield, California, she was married to Bill Orr, who preceded her in death.

Anna enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and yard work. She also enjoyed every moment she had with her family.

Those who survive her include: five children, Barbara Jobe of Eldon, Joann Fisher and husband Phil of Raytown, James Peck of LaGrand, Oregon, Karen Lewis and husband Danny of Bakersfield, California and Donald Baldwin of Texas; one sister, Katie Kays of Kansas City; 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, seven nieces, eight nephews and one special nephew, Alva Dale Witherell.

One son, Charles Baldwin; two brothers, Forrest and Alva and two sisters, Dorothy and Opal, also preceded her in death.


A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Pastor Rick Doran will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date in Big Rock Cemetery near Versailles.
