Anna Laurah (Hanks) Ott, age 89, of Iberia, died Friday, February 16, 2007, at Lake Regional Hospital. She was born in Camden County on September 27, 1917, a daughter of the late Joseph Preston and Katherine (Hightower) Hanks. In Lebanon she was married to Tom Ott who preceded her in death in April 1966.

Those who survive her include: one daughter, Patty Irwin and husband Ronald of Iberia; two granddaughters Michelle Gross of Milton, Florida and Linda Tamez of Benton; six great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren , five step great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

An infant child and nine brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. with services immediately following at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Jeff Higbie will officiate. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery.
