Obituary

Annette Louise Dake, age 78, of Iberia, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia.  She was born in St. Anthony on October 19, 1945, daughter of the late Alvis and Velma (Clark) Bailey.  On August 1, 1964, in St. Anthony Annette was united in marriage to Bobbie Gene Dake, who preceded her in death on December 26, 2008.

Annette was a loving homemaker, mother, and grandmother.  Her favorite pastime besides spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was sewing, embroidering, cooking, and baking.  During her lifetime Annette worked part time in St. Anthony for Buechter's Store, then later on at Betty's Front Porch, which she didn't really consider work, because it included one of her passions, sewing.  She was also employed at L&B Manufacturing, Dollar General, and the MFA Exchange in Iberia.

She is survived by her daughter, Dajuana Carson of Branson; son, Bobbie Joe (Victoria) Dake of Iberia; three grandchildren, Callista (Chris) Phillips of Branson, Arin Dake, and Jackson (Shelby) Dake all of Iberia; three great-grandchildren, Lincoln Dake, Elaina Dake, and Brayden Dake all of Iberia; one great-grandchild on the way; one sister,  Mathiel Alexander; two brothers-in-law, Jackie (Judy) Dake and Leland Humphrey; sister-in-law, Wanda Copeland; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Ellis (Bud) Bailey, two sisters, Jean Nicholson and Wilma Dean Helton; six brothers-in-law, Ted Nicholson, George Alexander, Carl Helton, Muriel Copeland, John McKee, Burl Copeland; two sisters-in law, Alice Humphrey and Lois Copeland.

The visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia, with Bro. Brian Duncan officiating.   Interment will be held in Iberia Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Iberia Cemetery or the Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center.
