Arline Anna Mueller, age 90, of Babbtown, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Babbtown on March 10, 1933, daughter of the late Alfred and Elise Katherine (Groene) Harfst. On September 5, 1954, Arline was united in marriage to Adolph Carl Mueller, who preceded her in death on November 2, 1995.
Arline was a devoted member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Babbtown where she performed as the organist for 74 years. She was an active member of the community serving as a board member at Heisinger Lutheran Home and was a member of the Argyle VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and the Meta Quilt Club. Arline had a talent for baking and made countless wedding cakes and specialty cakes throughout the years.
She is survived by three sons, Alvin (Gretta) Mueller, Arnold (Theresa) Mueller, and Arthur (Donna) Mueller; five grandchildren, Adrienne (Casey) Fick, Carla (Craig) Nilges, Carissa (Christopher) Thompson, Ethan (Tabitha) Mueller, and Elise Mueller; six great-grandchildren, Grayson, Hayden, Alex, Blakeley, Declan, and Everlynn; three siblings, Gene Harfst, Robert Harfst and Alice Harfst; two sisters-in-law, Betty Hoecker and Elda Bruning; and numerous family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd Harfst and Roland Harfst.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Monday, July 31, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Schubert with Pastor Gerald Scheperle officiating. Interment will be held in St. John's Cemetery in Babbtown.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Meta.
