IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Arthur Lee
Orsborn
May 17, 1952 – December 15, 2023
Arthur Lee Orsborn went to be with his Savior on December 15, 2023. He was born in Laona, Wisconsin, on May 17, 1952, to Edward and Tresa (Sparks) Orsborn. On May 17, 1976, Art was wed to his lifelong partner, Paulette Vance.
The city boy followed his wife's family to Missouri and adapted to farm life. In 1981, Art earned his GED-one of his proudest accomplishments. He worked for Chesebrough-Ponds for many years.
In 1990, Art made the most important decision of his life. Thanks primarily to the witness of the members of Hickory Point Baptist Church in Iberia, he followed Christ and soon after heard the call to minister.
Art pastored at Brumley Baptist Church from 1995-2000, Solid Rock Baptist Church in Linn in 2001, and Salem Baptist Church in California, MO from 2003-2006. His love for God's people and his desire to help meet the needs of others made a significant impact on so many.
Art is survived by his wife of 47 years, Paulette; his son David (Jeanne) Orsborn and granddaughter Zora, daughter Lisa (Matt) Fox and grandsons MJ and Nate, his brother Mike Orsborn, as well as brothers- and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
Art was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Tom and Larry, sister Dolly, nephews Timmy and Joey, and his beloved father and mother-in-law Paul and Oneta Vance.
There will be a Celebration of Life at Hickory Point Baptist Church in Iberia at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, Art has requested that any memorial contributions be made to the benevolence fund of Hickory Point Baptist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
