Barb Scheulen, age 54, of Iberia formerly of Meta, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Jefferson City on January 4, 1959, daughter of the late Charles John and Helen Marie (Schroeder) Wankum. On October 22, 1977, in Meta, Barbara married Robert "Bob" Scheulen, who preceded her in death on January 30, 2012.

She is survived by two daughters, Tracy Strutton and husband Josh of St. Anthony and Kayla Strutton and husband Damien of Crocker; mother, Helen Wankum of Meta; five grandchildren, Audrey Strutton, Lexis Strutton, Kaitlyn Strutton, Seth Strutton, and Gavin Strutton; two sisters, Mary Kay Frasier and husband Mike and Carol Verhoff and husband Tony both of Meta; and four brothers, Charles Jr. "Chuck" Wankum and wife Denise of St. Elizabeth, Allen Wankum and wife Lois of Meta, Danny Wankum and wife Jenny of Meta, and Jerome "Jerry" Wankum and wife Jacqueline of Meta.

She was also preceded in death by her father, Charles John Wankum.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a funeral service immediately following at 1 p.m., on Friday, May 17, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Meta. Fr. Jeremy Secrist will officiate. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
