Obituary
Barbara Bass Brandt, age 60, of Tuscumbia, died Saturday, January 12, 2008, at her home. She was born on November 18, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama, daughter of James and Sybil (Gabel) Bass. Her mother survives in Huntsville, Alabama. On October 13, 2000, in Versailles, she was married to John Edward Brandt, Sr., who survives at the home.
She was a member of the Jefferson City Red Hat Society.
Other survivors include one daughter, Christina Price of St. Louis; one brother, James Bass of the state of North Carolina; and three stepchildren, John E. Brandt, Jr., of Granite City, Illinois, and Jeanette E. Gerst and Jennifer E. Brandt both of Lakeland, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, at Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth. Pastor Jim Dowdy will officiate.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.
She was a member of the Jefferson City Red Hat Society.
