Obituary

Barbara "Faye" Clas, age 66, of Meta, died Monday, February 5, 2007, at Capital Region Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Tampa, Florida on October 10, 1940, a daughter of the late Robert and Esther Wasden. On December 30, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was married to Ronald Henry Clas, Sr., who survives at the home.

Faye was best known as owner and head chef of the House Café in Meta for 24 years. She retired from her beloved café 2 years ago due to her illness but kept her faithful customers and friends in her heart. She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Others who survive her include: two daughters, Kim Wallace and Stephanie Burns both of Jefferson City; one son, Ronald Clas, Jr. of the home; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren; four brothers, Bob Wasden of South Carolina, Ray Wasden of Arizona, Ronnie Wasden of Georgia and Larry Wasden of Florida and one sister, Bobby Jean Phillips of Florida.

Two sisters, Kay Wasden and Betty Weiner and one brother Bill Jones, also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. with a Eulogy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, at Rekus Funeral Home in Meta.
