Barbara Lee (Wall) McNinch, age 82, of Waynesville, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at University Hospital in Columbia. She was born in Pacific, Missouri on July 28, 1943, daughter of the late, Noble and Margie Marie (Boly) Wall. On July 15, 2003, Barbara lost the love of her life, Ronald McNinch. They were married a little over 2 years, which Barb referred to as the best years of her life.
Barbara was baptized at 13 and was a member of Hickory Point Church. While Barb was not a frequent churchgoer, she held strong faith. She began factory work at 17 and later spent 24 years as a cook at Fort Leonard Wood.
She is survived by two daughters, Julia Olson and Beth Dye; three grandchildren, Brian Olson, Anjelica Olson, and John Parker Dye and wife Jewellene Shortell; great-grandson, Ramsey Shortell-Parker; two sisters, Betty Smith and husband Don and Marilyn McAlpin; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Noble and Margie Wall, husbands, John Ramsey and Ronald McNinch; two sisters; and one brother.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., with a visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Donald Max Smith officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
