Barry Dale Griffin, age 45, of St. Charles, passed away Friday, July 31, 2009. He was born in St. Louis on April 26, 1964, son of Ronnie and Terry (Gould) Griffin, formerly of Iberia.
Barry worked for Midcoast Aviation for 21 years and was a FFA Designee (DAR). He enjoyed being outdoors and was very active. He loved his children, family and friends unconditionally, giving whatever he had of himself, asking nothing in return. His life's motto was to "seize the moment" and he did that every day of his life.
He is survived by his children, Sarah and Jesse Griffin; two sisters, Laura Rolufs and Claudia Griffin; three nieces; grandmother, Hilda Gould; and many friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia, on Thursday, August 6, 2009, in Iberia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center in St. Charles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barry Griffin's children education fund.
