Belinda Kay Moody, age 61, of Iberia passed away on Friday, November 20, at Lake Regional Health Center in Osage Beach. She was born in Puerto Rico on May 22, 1954, daughter of the late Kenneth and Doris (Fulkroad) Benfer. On August 11, 1979, in Pulaski County, Belinda married James Ray Moody, who survives at the home.
Belinda was employed as an LPN at Miller County Care Center in Tuscumbia, Osage Beach Health Care, and at the Iberia Clinic. She was also a licensed beautician.
She was a member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary of Crocker and the Women of the Moose Club. Belinda attended the Congressional Christian Church.
In addition to her husband Jim, she is survived by one daughter, Katherine Lynne (Moody) Lavoie and husband Daniel, five stepchildren, Carmela, Penny, Jamie, Alton, and Daylene; two grandchildren, Dakota and Kaylea; several step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Diane Bonnin and husband Jeff and Debbie Conner and husband Chris; and one aunt, Anna Katheryn Kaiser.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Benfer in 2011.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with funeral services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Monday, November 23, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Dr. Rev. Wayne Cogell will officiate. Interment will be in Freedom Cemetery near Dixon.
