Betty Ann Hutchinson, age 73, of Tuscumbia, died Sunday, April 22, 2007, at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born in Iberia on January 11, 1934, daughter of Earl Otto and Ruby Flossie (Blankenship) Ponder. On April 17, 1986, in Las Vegas, Nevada, she was married to Dale Hutchinson, who survives at the home.
She had previously owned and operated Porter's Market in Iberia. She was a member of the Iberia American Legion Post 105 Ladies Auxiliary, the Democrat Club, and the Red Hat Society.
Other survivors include three daughters, Sherry Berry of St. Clair, Joyce Wood of Eldon, and Diana Simpson of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania; one son, Clinton Porter of Iberia; two brothers, Adolph Ponder of Iberia and Bobby Ponder of Pontoon Beach, Illinois; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, at Brays Advent Christian Church near Iberia. Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate.
