Betty Lou Owens, age 79, of Iberia, passed on Sunday, September 16, 2012, at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was born in Pike County, Illinois, on October 23, 1932, daughter of the late William and Mary Ellen (Lee) Miller. On September 13, 1996, Betty married Stephen William "Bill" Owens, who preceded her in death on January 25, 1997.

Betty was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints of Osage Beach.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Goewey Jr. of Iberia, William Goewey and wife Lois of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Ronald Goewey of Nebo, Illinois; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Loretta Hartsock of Pleasant Hill, Illinois; and one brother, Gerald Miller of Jacksonville, Illinois.

She was also preceded in death by seven brother and sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, in Bethany Cemetery near Crocker.
