Beulah Jean Kessler, age 74, of Ulman, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Tuscumbia on March 3, 1942, daughter of the late Wassie and Eulah (Whittle) Witt. On June 25, 1960, in Tuscumbia, Beulah married William "Bill" Eugene Kessler, who preceded her in death on January 11, 2008.
Beulah or "Grandma Boo" as many people referred to her as was employed as a CNA at Miller County Nursing Home for 20 years. She was co-owner of KFC in Eldon for 7 years and also babysat many children in the area.
She is survived by one son, Bro. Mark Kessler and wife Debora of Ulman; two daughters, Sherri Wood of Tuscumbia and Nicole Grimwood and husband David of Tuscumbia; seven grandchildren, Michael Kessler, Brandon Kessler, Amanda Stokes, Patrick Wood, Jessie Wood, Nicholas Grimwood, and Abbi Grimwood; 13 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mickey Parker; and two brothers, Jimmy Witt and Johnnie Witt.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Terra Jean Grimwood; two sisters, JoAnn Henry and Ida Mae Woods.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Matt Hunter will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Tuscumbia.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the North Shore Baptist Church Bus Fund.
