Billy O. Beal, age 78, of Iberia, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. He was born in Eldorado, Kansas on July 5, 1935, son of the late Thurman and Bertha Beal. On February 6, 1953, in Eldorado, Kansas Billy married Alta Lorene Long, who survives at the home.
Billy worked at Callaway Nuclear Power Plant and was later employed as a janitor at Iberia High School for many years. He was a member of Hickory Point Church in Iberia where he formerly served as Deacon.
He is also survived by three children, Steve Beal and wife Carolyn of Iberia, Dorothy White and husband Darrell of Towanda, Kansas, and Roger Beal and wife Lisa of Eldorado, Kansas; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Vernon Beal of Iberia; and one sister, Ruth Ash of Brumley.
He was preceded in death by one brother, J.R. Carey.
Graveside Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014, at Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia. Mac McCully will officiate.
