Obituary

Billy E. Helton, age 62, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at his home. He was born in Valley Park on December 19, 1957, son of the late Carlos and Blanche (Farrow) Helton. On June 24, 2000, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Billy was united in marriage to Sharon, who survives at their home.

Billy was previously employed with the Teamsters Union in the St. Louis area and later worked with his brother, Joe, as a local carpenter. Before retiring, Billy worked at Iberia R-V as a custodian. He enjoyed cooking and spending time outdoors, hunting and running beagles. Billy attended Iberia First Assembly of God.

In addition to his wife, Sharon, he is also survived by his children, Rebecca Hill (Phil) of Granite City, Illinois, Carl Helton (Bethany) of Mansfield, Tennessee, and Holley Dake of Iberia; seven grandchildren, Brady, Brooke, Canaan, Harleigh, Shay, Larrissa, and Justice; great-granddaughter, Jaylin; adopted great-granddaughter, Mattie Kissinger; two siblings, Cindy Hilkemeyer (Rick) of Freeburg and Joe Helton (Brenda) of Iberia; aunt, Leona Hogue of Iberia, uncle, Wilburn Rowden of Jefferson City; brother-in-law, Earl Wayne Humphrey; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Debbie Rowden, Judy Malone, Sally Gladden, and Carol Lynn Helton.

A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, at Brays Cemetery near Iberia with Bro. Chip Sanders officiating.
