B.J. Maylee, age 34, of Iberia, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015, in Miller County. He was born in Jefferson City on April 18, 1980, son of Bruce and Sherrie (Phillips) Maylee. On October 20, 2012, B.J. married Shanda Duncan, who survives at the home.
B.J. graduated high school from Iberia R-V in 1998. He enjoyed working on cars and riding motorcycles. B.J. loved spending his time with his son Gavin, who has inherited his love and knowledge of motorsports.
He was employed at Home Depot in Osage Beach and was a member of the Iberia Bush Pilots Motorcycle Club.
Along with his wife and parents, he is survived by his son, Gavin Joseph Maylee; one brother, David Maylee of Iberia; grandparents, Mary Copeland of Dixon, William Maylee of Holts Summit, and David Humphrey of Tuscumbia; father and mother-in-law, Tim and Brenda Duncan; and numerous relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dalton Maylee; grandparents, Nora Ann Maylee, Donley Copeland; and Bill and Dorothy Phillips.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Thursday, March 12, at Faith Tabernacle Church near Iberia. Bro. Jon Skiles will officiate. Interment will be in Little Angels Cemetery near Iberia.
