Obituary
Blanche Whittenberg, age 93, of Kansas City, Kansas, formerly of Eldon, died Monday, February 18, 2008, at her home. She was born in Tuscumbia on July 4, 1914, a daughter of the late John and Minnie (Mathis) Harrison. She was married to Guy Everett Whittenberg, who preceded her in death in October 1966.
Those who survive her include: one son, Everett Whittenberg and wife Sandy of Kansas City, Kansas; one granddaughter, Anita Marie Sadler and husband Tom of Eldon; one great granddaughter, Stacey Reed of Eldon and numerous nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Fred and Ed Harrison and two sisters, Maybelle Kaiser and Nellie Workman, also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, with services immediately following at 12:00 p.m. at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Rev. Jay Quinn will officiate. Private interment will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens near Barnett.
