Bob G. Kerr, age 61, of Eldon, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at University Hospital and Clinics. He was born in Gideon on January 11, 1947, a son of the late Merle and Elsie (Patterson) Kerr. On May 13, 1964, in Hermann, he was married to Betty D. Williams, who survives at the home.
Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming and loved spending time with his grandkids. He was a member of the Blue Springs Baptist Church.
Others who survive him include: two children, Michael R. Kerr and wife Lynda and Lisa K. Shockley all of Eldon; five grandchildren, Courtney and Danielle Humphrey both of Eldon, Kaitlin and Gabrielle Humphrey both of Centralia and Corey Kerr of Eldon; one great grandchild, Nevaeh Dieckman of Eldon; four brothers, Charles Kerr of Jefferson City and Delbert, Jerry and Kenneth Kerr all of Russellville and two sisters, Betty Bond and Shirley Crawford both of Alabama.
One sister, Brenda Sheehorn, also preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Interment will be in Dooley Cemetery near Eldon.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.
