Bobbie Gene Dake, age 73, of Iberia, died Friday, December 26, 2008, at University Hospital in Columbia. He was born in Iberia on September 23, 1935, son of Jack and Jewell (Sloan) Dake. On August 1, 1964, in St. Anthony, he was married to Annette Louise Bailey, who survives at the home.
He was an Army veteran. He worked for MoDOT out of Iberia for 27 years until his retirement. He also farmed on the family farm in St. Anthony for many years. He was a member of the Iberia Masonic Lodge #410 AF and AM where he served as a Master Mason.
Other survivors include one daughter, Dajuana Carson of Kansas City; one son, Bobbie Dake and wife Victoria of Iberia; three grandchildren, Callista Carson, Arin Dake, and Jackson Dake all of Iberia; one brother, Jackie Dake and wife Judy of Iberia; three sisters, Wanda Copeland and husband Burl of Iberia, Lois Copeland and husband Muriel of Meta, and Alice Humphrey and husband Leland of Eldon; and many nephews, nieces, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, at Iberia Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Higbie will officiate.
