Bobby J. Barker, age 78, of Brumley, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. He was born in Aurora Springs on September 23, 1938. On March 13, 1975, in Iberia, Bobby married Betty Sue Clark, who survives at their home.
Bobby honorably served in the United Stated Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Slone Construction for many years and was later employed at Stanton Novelty where he retired.
In addition to his loving wife, Betty Barker, he is also survived by his daughter, Janet Wieberg and husband Chad of St. Anthony; one granddaughter, Makayla Wieberg of St. Anthony; one brother, James Barker and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Barker.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m., on Thursday, August 17, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Homes in Iberia with Bro. Jon Skiles officiating. Final inurnment will be in Jackson Cemetery in Ulman at a later date.
