Brian Eugene Nixdorf, age 54, of Iberia, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, in Iberia. He was born in Iberia on October 30, 1957, son of Bobby Eugene and Rayma Jean (Sooter) Nixdorf. On February 2, 1992, at his home in Iberia, Brian married Janice Martin, who survives at the home.

Brian was a member of Fairview Christian Church near Iberia since January 2, 1983.

He is also survived by his parents, Bobby and Rayma Nixdorf of Iberia; two daughters, Barbara Cottrell and husband Michael of Eldridge and Beverly Nixdorf of Iberia; two step-daughters, Tiffany Buckner and husband Derrick of Willow Springs and Christa Thomas and husband John of Houston; five grandchildren, Anna Hill of Eldridge, Lindsey Hill of Eldridge, Paige Cottrell of Eldridge, Daniella Buckner of Willow Springs, and Andrew Buckner of Willow Springs; and one brother, Marvin Nixdorf and wife Kelly of Ulman.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Nixdorf (age 8) and Michael Nixdorf (age 18).

Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at the Fairview Christian Church near Iberia. Pastor Fred Earp and Pastor Mike Allen will officiate. Interment will be in Livingston Cemetery near Iberia.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
