Bruce Parker, age 48, of Meta, died Sunday, February 17, 2008, at his home. He was born in Jefferson City on October 11, 1959, a son of the late Loren and Ruby Irene (Vaughan) Parker.

Those who survive him include: one son, Shawn Parker and wife Amy of Rolla; one daughter, Angie Burke of Rolla; four grandchildren, Cole and Sara Parker and Mehaley and Jaylon Burke; two brothers, Dwight Parker and wife Becky of Derby, Kansas and Douglas Parker and wife Joyce of Chula Vista, California and one sister, Beverly Lemon and husband Ron of Fair Grove.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26, with a memorial service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Ricker Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Vancleve. Pastor Robert Ham will officiate. A private family graveside service will follow at Stokes Cemetery near Meta.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Ricker Memorial Church of the Nazarene.
