Burl O. Copeland, age 90, of Dixon, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Miller County on November 2, 1931, son of the late Orville and Edith (Barnhart) Copeland.  On April 16, 1955, Burl was united in marriage to Shirley Darlene Wilson, who preceded him on February 5, 2000.  On October 13, 2001, Burl married Wanda L. McKee, who survives at their home.

Burl honorably served in the Army during the Korean Conflict until his discharge in October of 1955.  He owned and operated Triangle Pump and Supply.  Burl had a love for the outdoors, enjoying fishing, golfing, and playing bluegrass music.  He was a faithful member of Campground Christian Church, where he served as Deacon.

In addition to his wife, Wanda Copeland, he is also survived by four children, Kerry (Shelia) Copeland, Kenny (Kelly S.) Copeland, Kelly (Christel) Copeland, and Keith (Marion Tilley York) Copeland; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Jim (Rita) McKee, Sharon (Sam) Pendleton and Michelle Luttrell; step-daughter-in-law, Sally McKee; four siblings, Alma Hill, Betty (Barry) Blankenship, JoAnn Gallagher, and Linda Prather; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lemoine Lawson and Mona Jones; brother, Charles "Don" Copeland; and two stepsons, John and Bill McKee.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Manuel Seaton officiating.  Interment with military honors will be held in Wheeler Cemetery near Iberia.
