Camilla Dake, age 83, of Iberia, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Ulman on July 4, 1928, daughter of the late William and Cora (Davenport) Patterson. On January 3, 1948, in Tuscumbia, Camilla married Everett Dake Jr., who preceded her in death on June 6, 2010.
Camilla was a member of both the American Legion and VFW Lady Auxillary. She worked at Iberia R-V for over 30 years as a cook. She was an avid bowler and a St. Louis Cardinal and Missouri Tigers sports fan. Camilla was a member of Iberia Church of Christ.
She is survived by one son, David Dake and wife Sheila of Crocker; one daughter, Melayne Dameron and husband Rex of Lebanon, four grandsons, three granddaughters; 17 great grandchildren; one sister, Marie Wilson of Eldon; and a special niece, Sandy Wilson.
She was also preceded in death by one brother; two sisters; and one great grandson.
Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Steve Rook will officiate. Interment will be in Hickory Point Cemetery in Iberia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, at the funeral home.
