Carla (Doerhoff) Atchison, age 61, of St. Elizabeth formerly of Kansas City, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Care Center. She was born in St. Louis on September 11, 1952, daughter of Lambert and Gladys (Hickey) Doerhoff. On November 3, 1973, in St. Louis, Carla married David Atchison, who preceded her in death.

Carla was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Kim Atchison of Kearney; her mother, Gladys Doerhoff; two grandchildren, Ripley Kyle and Xander Kyle both of Kearney; three brothers, Gary Doerhoff and wife Dianne of Norfolk, Virginia, Darrell Doerhoff and wife Rose of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, and Randy Doerhoff and wife Diane of St. Peters; and one sister, Lesa Herx and husband Ted of Iberia.

She was also preceded in death by her father, Lambert Doerhoff.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 1 p.m., on Monday, July 14, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Joby Thomas will officiate. Interment will be in Paradise Cemetery in Clay County.
