Charles Ernest Pendleton, age 81, of California formerly of Iberia, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Moniteau Care Center in California. He was born in Dixon on April 1, 1938, son of the late Ray and Anna (Kehr) Pendleton.
Charles honorably served in the United States Army. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed farming, fishing and reading western novels. Charles was a member of Dixon Church of Christ.
He is survived by three children, Beth Admire (Josh) of California, Kimberly Rollins (Troy) of Dixon, and Mitchell Pendleton (Billye) of Iberia; eight grandchildren, Jessica Bauer, Cynthia Stafford, Roxanna Davis, Emrick Wyatt, Brittney Rollins, Jessica Liebrum, Caysie Admire and Joshua Admire Jr.; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mark Pendleton and Myrl Pendleton; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Pendleton.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with service immediately following at 1 p.m., on Thursday, June 6, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. A private interment will be held in Alder Springs Cemetery near Iberia.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Charles Pendleton Memorial Fund.
