Cheryl "Sherry" Sears, age 69, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.  She was born in Tuscumbia on February 20, 1952, daughter of the late Wade and Grace (Roark) Flaugher.   On February 20, 1971, Sherry was united in marriage to Robert Larry Sears, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2017.

Sherry was school secretary at Miller County R-III School District for many years.  She was an avid reader and her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her three children and grandmother to Zak, Kendra, MaKayla, Johnathan, Isabelle, and Emma, who she loved unconditionally.

She is survived by three children, Michelle Vaughan, John Sears (Candice), and Jared Sears; six grandchildren, Zak Vaughan, Kendra Vaughan, MaKayla Patterson (Tyler), Johnathan Sears, Isabelle Sears, and Emma Sears; brother, Jesse Flaugher (Rayma); sister, Nancy Clark (Jim); father-in-law, Robert Sears; brother-in-law, Howard Sears (Mary); sister-in-law, Judy McDaniel; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie, Greg, and Jeff Flaugher; three sisters, Betty Abbett, Wanda Cheever, and Cindy Alieksaites; and mother-in-law, Mary Jane Sears.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Charlie Worstell officiating.  Interment will be held in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Tuscumbia.
