Christie Lynn Surface, age 43, of Dixon, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia. She was born in Sullivan on December 31, 1976, daughter of the late David Rector Sr. and Barbara Rector. In March of 2003, Christie was united in marriage to John Surface, who survives at their home.

In addition to her husband, John Surface, she is also survived by two sons, Brandon Peters and Cole Peters; four stepchildren, Heather McKinley, Devin Surface, Monica Moranda, and Casandra Abshier; grandchildren, Angel Rose Peters, Nolan Howard McKinley, Freya Morando, Trinity Morando, and Michael Surface; seven siblings, David Rector Jr., Scott Rector, Burton Rector, Chuck Rector, Jeremie Rector, Barbara Rector, and Tonya Rector; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepson, John Surface.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
