Christine M. Renneke, age 96, of Meta, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at the St. Elizabeth Care Center. She was born in Argyle on March 29, 1912, daughter of Steve and Margaret (Boeckman) Schwartze, both deceased. On August 22, 1934, in Argyle, she was married to Theodore J. Renneke, who preceded her in death on August 6, 1988.

She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Meta.

Survivors include three sons, Victor Renneke of Meta, David Renneke of California, and James Renneke and wife Linda of Meta; seven daughters, Margaret Koetting and husband Bernard of Mary's Home, Elvira Koetting and husband David of Mary's Home, Mary Rustemeyer of St. Martins, Dolores Renneke of Independence, Clara Jean Huff of Independence, Alice DeMoss and husband Larry of Tonganoxie, Kansas, and Sally Schepers and husband David of McGirk; two brothers, August Schwartze and Albert Schwartze both of Argyle; three sisters, Sophie Schepher of St. Louis, Rita Massman of Linn, and Catherine Schwartze of St. Louis; 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 13 great great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Meta. Rev. Mark Porterfield will officiate. Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Monday at the church with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
