Cindy (Flaugher) Alieksaites, age 63, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. She was born in Tuscumbia on September 22, 1953, daughter of the late Wade and Grace (Roark) Flaugher. In December of 1976, Cindy married Joe Alieksaites, who survives at his home.

Cindy has been employed for 32 years at the Miller County Collector's Office as Deputy Collector. She was a devoted participant and supporter in the Relay for Life organization. She loved her family especially her grandchildren. Cindy was a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church in Tuscumbia.

She is survived by one daughter, Miranda Eidson of Marys Home; three grandchildren, Braydon Michael Eidson, Grace Marie Eidson, and Matthew Rylee Eidson; three brothers, Jesse Flaugher and wife Rayma of Tuscumbia, Greg Flaugher and wife Tammy of Eldon, Jeff Flaugher of Olean; three sisters, Wanda Cheever and husband Jim of Eldon, Nancy Clark and husband Jim of Tuscumbia, and Sherry Sears of Tuscumbia; one uncle, James Roark of Mountain Grove, one aunt, Delores Roark of Tuscumbia; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charlie Flaugher, one sister, Betty Abbett, and two brothers-in-law, Larry Sears and Larry Flaugher.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with services immediately following at 2 p.m., on Monday, March 27, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Charlie Worstell will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Tuscumbia.
