Clara Moss, age 92, of Dixon, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla. She was born on April 3, 1917, daughter of the late, John and Emma (McMillian) Carroll. In 1932, Clara married Archie Moss, who preceded her in death in 1972.

She is survived by two daughters, Norma Howser of Crocker and Shirley Butler of Dixon; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters, Blanche Barnett of Dixon, Dorothy Curry of Crocker, Sidney Carroll of Texas, Harold Carroll of Dixon, Ralph Carroll of Cuba, Bob Carroll of Dixon, Betty Cross of Dixon, and Jane Rigsby of Springfield.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Freeman and Truman Moss; one great-grandson, Jacob Cates, one granddaughter, Michelle Moss, two brothers, and one sister.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Greg McClain will officiate. Interment will be in Dixon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, at the funeral home.
