Clara Mae (Thornsberry) Cochran, age 73, of Brumley, departed this life on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at her home. She was born in Waynesville, on November 18, 1947, daughter of the late Tom and Josephine Thornsberry. On March 30, 1968, in Pulaski County, Clara was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Cochran, who survives at their home.

Clara was employed at Lee Factory in Richland. Once she started her family, she took a break from working out of the home and had one of life's most rewarding careers as a stay-at-home mom with her three children. After her children were grown, she had a career spanning 26 years as an associate clerk at Walmart in Osage Beach.

She had many hobbies including photography, painting, cooking, and she enjoyed traveling and tending to her garden. She took great pride in making birthday cakes for her children and grandchildren.

Clara had many endearing qualities and was always kind to everyone she met. She was baptized at a young age and later in life she was baptized again. Clara was an active and faithful member of Mt. Union Church of Christ near Brumley.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she is also survived by two sons, Ronnie (Jennifer) Cochran and Russell (Tina) Cochran; daughter, Robin (Kenda) Humphrey; six grandchildren, Rylee Cochran, Rachel Cochran, Austin Stark, Sammie Cochran, Kenzie Humphrey, and Danny Humphrey; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her special uncle, Larkin Hays, and numerous aunts, uncles, family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Robert Dover officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
