Clinton Prather "CP" Wooldridge, Jr., age 72, of Chilhowee, formerly of Odessa and Buckner, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Warrensburg Manor Care Center. He was born in Kansas City on May 16, 1937, son of the late Dr. Clinton Prather and Rhoda (Phillips) Wooldridge. On February 24, 1962, in Miami, Oklahoma, Prather married Alice Jean Luttrell, who preceded him in death on October 13, 2008.
He owned and operated Wooldridge Auto Service for many years in Buckner. He enjoyed building and racing all types of cars as well as hunting and fishing. He had a special place in his heart for his beloved dogs. Prather was a member of Anchor Point Baptist Church in Independence.
He is survived by one son, Mike Osborn and wife Jolene of Blue Springs; four daughters, Brenda Willcockson of Chilhowee, Barbara Mullen and husband Terry of Clinton, Kathy Hill and husband Mike of Chilhowee, and Michelle Wooldridge-Higgins and husband Jesse of Chilhowee; twelve grandchildren, Kerri Atwood, Kelli Lewis, Brandon Hill, Nicholas Hill, Brittanie Hill, Cody Wooldridge, Travis Warlen, Lisa Dale, Lori Packham, Jennifer Heyer, Joshua Willcockson, and Justin Willcockson; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Georgia Jane Wooldridge; one niece, Siobhan Reardon; six sisters-in-law, Dorlas Gilliam, Lois Pemberton, Rosemary Douglas, Shirley Smith, Patsy Rodden, and Karen Barnett; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by one son Jerry Clinton Jett.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 6, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Pastor Matt Goodsell and Bro. Randy McKinley will officiate. Interment will be in Robinett Cemetery near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, at the funeral home.
