Clyde Richard Miller, age 78, of Iberia, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Landmark Hospital in Columbia. He was born in St. Louis on November 10, 1932, son of the late John and Lena Gertrude (Malmberg) Miller.
Clyde retired after 20 years of service from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He later volunteered for over 20 years at the Harry S. Truman VA Hospital.
Clyde was a member of the Shriners and the North Star Lodge No. 46 A.F. & A.M. of Glasgow, Montana. He was also a member and past commander of the Iberia American Legion Post 105.
He is survived by one sister, Shirley Hiller of St. Louis; one brother-in-law, Dilbert Machon of Iberia; five nieces, Melanie Williams of Iberia, Cheryl Buechter of Osage Beach, Dana Knewtson of Joplin, Beverly Armstrong of Eureka, and Jana Walters of Baldwin; one nephew, Jack Riley of Jefferson City; and several great nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Machon and Geraldine Kimmel.
Service will be held at 10 a.m., on Monday, August 1, 2011, at Ft. Leonard Wood Veterans Cemetery.
