Collin James Colvin, age 15, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013, near Iberia. He was born in Lake Ozark on November 17, 1997, son of James Victor and Lori Ann (Abbott) Colvin.
Collin enjoyed fishing and hunting and volunteered as a Junior Fire Fighter with the Brumley Fire Protection District and was also a member of the FFA.
He is survived by his parents, James "Scooter" and Lori Colvin; three sisters, Morgan Colvin and Justin Helden, Logan Colvin and Lee Cartwright, and Reagan Colvin all of Iberia; paternal grandfather, Gary Colvin of Iberia; paternal great-grandmother, Ruby Starks of Iberia; maternal grandmother, Vicky Ponder of Linn; maternal great-grandparents, Perry and Janice Smith of Linn; two nephews, Rylan Helden and Tyler Nelson both of Iberia; three nieces, Kaylee Sikes, Destiny Sanders, and Faith Nelson all of Iberia; and several aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m., with services immediately following at 3 p.m., on Wednesday, July 3, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Ralph Byrd will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Collin Colvin Memorial Fund.
