Connie Sue Smith Jones, age 62, of Iberia, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Miller County on January 9, 1948, daughter of the late Farris and Rosalee (Duncan) Long.
Connie was a member of Mt. Union Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Troyce Jones of Iberia; one sister, Debbie Long of Iberia; one daughter, Theresa Long of Iberia; two nephews, Shannon Long and Travis Long both of Iberia; and her grandmother, Venice Duncan of Iberia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Smith in 1991; and two sons, Rodney Smith and Shawn Smith.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Brian Duncan will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Iberia.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Mt. Union Cemetery.
