Obituary

Curtis Ash, age 78, of Centertown, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at his home. He was born in Brumley on February 28, 1940, son of the late Clinton and Lola (Phillips) Ash. On June 9, 1962, in Crocker, Curtis married Linda Wall, who survives at their home.

Curtis enjoyed playing sports especially basketball until he was no longer physically able to do so. He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid knife collector.

Curtis was a fun-loving man who never knew a stranger and always cared about his friends and family.

In addition to his loving wife, Linda Ash, he is also survived by his son, Chris Ash and wife Debbie of Conroe, Texas; daughter, Lesa Lafarge and husband Doug of Centertown; four grandchildren, Aaron Ash, Brittany Ash, Nikita Lafarge, and Ptolemy Lafarge; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Tom, Warren, and William "Webb" Ash.

Visitation will be held from 12 (noon) to 2 p.m., with services immediately following at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. A private interment will be in Hawkins Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Curtis Ash Memorial Fund.
