Daisey Faye Duncan, age 84, of Brumley, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Miller County on July 16, 1932, daughter of the late Fred and Parthena (Luttrell) Witt. On February 15, 1954, in Tuscumbia, Daisey married Frank Duncan, who preceded her in death on April 7, 1998.
Daisey babysat for several years and cared for many children in the area including her own family. She attended the Glover Church of Christ in Richland.
She is survived by five children, Rita Lawson and husband Rick of Springfield, Frankie Duncan of Dixon, Sue Piggott and husband Dan of Iberia, Rick Duncan and wife Vonda of Brumley, and Nita Cochran and husband Buffy of Brumley; one son-in-law, Jim Cochran of Iberia, 13 grandchildren, Corey Piggott, Trent Cochran, Keisha Lawson, Ozie Eaton, LeeAnn Vines, Ernie Vines, Casey Piggott, Megan Sherrell, Morgan Duncan, Malarie Duncan, Seth Duncan, Dalton Cochran, and Cayley Cochran; 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Delcie Chloe Lawson.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Zeda Cochran; one infant son; one granddaughter, Kayla Shreve; one grandson, Myron Fry; one sister, Dorsie Huddleston, and two brothers, Dorlis and Donnie Witt.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Warren Mitchell will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
