IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daisy Nell
Seaton
July 12, 1935 – February 6, 2022
Daisy Nell Seaton, age 86, of Dixon, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born in rural Iberia at the family farmhouse on July 12, 1935, daughter of the late Elston Wade and Zelda Lorelle (Sowers) Barton. On December 31, 1954, in McGirk, Daisy was united in marriage to James "Manuel" Seaton, who survives at the home.
Daisy gave her heart to the Lord by making a profession of faith early in life and continued to serve the Lord faithfully throughout her life. She was a loving and supportive mother and grandmother, not only to her family, but to many others as well. Daisy enjoyed tending to her garden, plants and flowers, cooking, reading, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and candy making. Her talents of crocheting and candy-making were self-taught and over the years made numerous cherished keepsakes and goodies that she shared with family and friends. She was also an excellent cook, and it gave her great joy to ensure her family always had their favorites. Daisy had an endearing personality and an unconditional love for her close-knit family. Her family will cherish their memories of Daisy and will always remember her humble and selfless nature.
In addition to her husband, Manuel Seaton, she is also survived by four children, Mike Seaton (Kathy), Kathy Parrett (David), Melanie Seaton, and Melinda Stormes (Andy); six grandchildren, Michael (Elizabeth), Mitchell (Rebecca), JoAnn, Maggie (Scott), Isaac, and Michel; six great-grandchildren, Anthony (Tia), Cooper, Hadley, Paisley, Wyatt, Henry, Ricky, Shaylia, and Garrett; one great-great-grandson, Niklaus; sister, Peggy Maples; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Eloise Faith Seaton; and two brothers, Royce K. Barton and Elston W. "Bud" Barton.
