Dale Twehus, age 63, of St. Elizabeth, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was born in Tuscumbia on August 9, 1957, son of the late Theodore Twehus and Rose Margaret (Warden) Twehus. On October 6, 2007, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth, Dale was united in marriage to Trendia Slote, who survives at their home.

Dale was proud life-long farmer with a strong work ethic. He enjoyed fishing, working on the farm, and spending time outdoors. He was employed with Quaker Windows and Doors for 20 years. Dale was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

In addition to his loving wife, Trendia Twehus, he is also survived by his daughter, Gabby Twehus of the home; brother, Robert Twehus (Barb) of Jefferson City; two sisters, Mary Jane Snellen (Ralph) of Jefferson City and Diane Edwards (Roger) of Tuscumbia; his canine companion, Katie; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth Twehus and one sister, Rosetta Basnett.

A family viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11 a.m., on Friday, February 12, 2021, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth with Fr. Joby Thomas officiating.

The public is welcome to attend the graveside service at 12 (noon) on Friday, February 12, at St. Lawrence Cemetery in St. Elizabeth.

Facial masks are mandatory for those attending the funeral mass.
