Dalton DeWayne Maylee, age 7, of Iberia, passed away Friday, March 4, 2011, due to injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident in Iberia. He was born in Lake Ozark on March 4, 2004, son of Bruce DeWayne and Sherrie Belle (Phillips) Maylee.

He attended the first grade at Iberia Elementary. Dalton was a very special child that brought great joy to all the lives he touched.

He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Sherrie Maylee of Iberia; two brothers, B.J. Maylee and David Maylee both of Iberia; grandparents, Mary Copeland and husband Charles of Dixon, William L. Maylee of Holts Summit, David Humphrey of Iberia, and Mike Steen of Iberia; one nephew, Gavin Joseph Maylee; and one niece, Kyra Faye Maylee; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nora Ann Maylee; his grandparents, Bill and Dorothy Phillips; his grandmother, Judy Belle Steen; and one uncle, Buckey Phillips.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Warren Mitchell will officiate. Interment will be in Little Angels Cemetery near Iberia.
